Participants will receive a pair of raindrop-shaped copper blanks, approximately 24.5mm long, and learn the basics of metal stamping while creating a custom pair of earrings to take home and enjoy.
With hundreds of stamps to choose from, including letters, patterns, florals, western-inspired designs, symbols, and more, you’ll be able to create earrings that perfectly match your personal style. After stamping your design, the earrings will be finished with ear wires, creating a beautiful handmade accessory that’s ready to wear.
No experience is necessary, and all materials and tools are provided. This class is perfect for anyone wanting to explore a new creative skill, make a handmade gift, or enjoy a fun artistic experience.
For safety and liability, students must be over the age of 8 years old. Minors must be accompanied by parent/guardian who is also taking the course.
Local to Idaho’s Treasure Valley, Shelby is the silversmith and owner behind Fire and Fringe, a jewelry brand inspired by the rugged beauty of the West and the quiet elegance of modern design. Working primarily with sterling silver and natural stones—especially turquoise—each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted one step at a time.
Beyond creating jewelry, Shelby loves sharing her craft through silversmithing and metal stamping classes. Teaching others not only deepens her own connection to the art form, but also allows students to gain a true appreciation for both the process and the finished results.
