The End Of An Era
As we journey through life, we often find ourselves at crossroads, faced with decisions that shape our future. Recently we have found ourselves at one of those crossroads in the story of our jewelry business. It is with a mix of nostalgia and anticipation that we have decided to discontinue beloved beaded earring styles.
Back in 2020, while I was on “bed rest” during pregnancy, I began crafting beaded earrings. It started as something to with my hands, to do when I couldn't do much else. Little did I know that this simple hobby would lay the foundation for my jewelry business. These beaded creations became a symbol of creativity and resilience, born out of a challenging time.
When we announced our plan to discontinue this style, one of our customers described our decision as "the end of an era." Those words struck a chord with us. They encapsulate the sentiment perfectly. Beaded earrings have been with us since the beginning, a testament to our journey and growth.
I embarked on this journey with a skill passed down through generations. My grandmother taught me the art of beaded earrings, and I believe she would be proud of where we started and the decision to focus our craft toward the sterling silver jewelry. It's a tribute to our roots and a way of carrying forward the legacy of those who came before us.
As we move forward, we will continue honing our skills as silversmiths (and blacksmiths) and embracing the beauty of sterling silver and natural stones. While we say goodbye to our beaded earring styles, we're not closing the door entirely. I am still planning combining the charm of beaded designs with the elegance of sterling silver. This fusion may open up new avenues for creativity, offering our customers unique and beautiful pieces that reflect our evolving craftsmanship.
